So I won't be going out of the house much during the winter because of the cold. I already am planning an exercise routine n of course some house cleaning
But I need some ideas of other things I could do so I don't drive my self nuts

Any ideas?

Members shared creative ways to stay active and engaged indoors during winter, with the most popular suggestions being arts and crafts like crocheting, sewing, adult coloring books, painting Christmas decorations, and working on jigsaw puzzles as a fun group activity. Several members emphasized the importance of having variety to avoid boredom, suggesting activities like cooking new recipes, scrapbooking, photography projects, video games, exercise routines on treadmills or steppers, and even organizing closets or cupboards to feel productive. A recurring theme was balancing solitude with connection, whether through crafting with family, walking a dog, joining social groups like Toastmasters, or sending encouraging letters to stay purposeful and avoid the isolation winter can bring.

I understand perfectly. What I try to do weekly: email & snail mail others to encourage them, sympathy, birthday, any type. Keep them in mind! ; Get some sun daily; do something that makes you happy, remember Winter is a season, and seasons come & go; In everything Give Thanks! I try to write or say and gratitude list, be it ever so large or small! have at least one task that takes you out of the house, if it be just on the porch~~ daily. hope this helps a bit! I attempt to tackle new projects; Christmas presents that give me a sense of purpose & love to others.. my accomplishments are few, but my purpose needs to be pure! Love is always good!

Cleaned out your closets lately? Cupboards? No one said spring cleaning has to wait until the spring. And when you're done your place, you can come do mine. :)

I crochet. It relaxes me. I make blankets, doilies, last year I started making fingerless gloves and boot cuffs. I also bought a sewing/embroidery machine a few months ago. Although I haven't had the energy to do much on it yet. I started a faery garden outside this spring and have a bunch of twigs/rocks and other craft items so I can start making some things for it for next year. I even bought clay so I can make things for it. Pinterest has loads of wonderful ideas! I like variety puzzle books, too. Do you like playing video games? Try to find an assortment of things to do so you don't get bored. Best wishes!

You know, I was thinking about this question after I responded and I remembered something. Right after the holidays, my "adopted" mom would put a puzzle (a big one) out on the dining room table. She didn't use hers and I don't use mine. Every time you came in the house you had to stop by the table and put a few puzzles pieces together, and any other time you wanted to. It was fun! So maybe this winter I'll put one out and see what happens..except Meiko will probably keep taking the pieces apart !LOL
