A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I would like to know what kind of treatments people have used that WORK. My Dr knows very little of Fibro therefore I need to be informed so I can present solutions we can go over when I see him on Wednesday. The last few days my body has just said ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and nothing I do helps. I have taken Tylonal 3's, without the caffeine, but it works for like 1 hour. I do have some Morphine tablets from when I had a ear infection (from the hospital) I hate taking morphine!!!! But I almost did and… read more

Please try to find a pain mgt Dr. Taking narcotics long term is not a good idea. Tramadol did not work for me either until Doc found the right combination of meds. After many trials I am on a combo that helps me. Some days the pain is OK and some days it is a day I just have to endure. You will learn your triggers for some days. Weather changes are particularly hard for me. A heated mattress pad has helped me alot. Gentle hugs and good luck finding the right Dr.

...is my big gun along with my heating pad. I sleep most often at the opposite end of our house so if i don't have to work in the morning everyone's activities don't wake me. I also have black out curtains. Those times when i can sleep I'm able to maximize my environment.

Find a specialist. My doc is an endocrinologist and has been great with trial and error. Alleve, Tylenol tension are my first line of defense. Zanaflex

Has your Dr. tried fentyol pain patches or Durgesic pain patches. They really help me along with lortabs. Please also I use my tanning bed to get the heat down in my bones. I told my Dr. That I was using a tanning bed and he said if it helped to use it. Also you need to get all the sun that you can it really helps with the fibromyalgia. But most of all what helps most of all is prayer. I cry out to Jesus to move the pain so that I can get some rest and praise God he does. Let's pray for each other. I want to help in anyway that I can. Please remember you're not alone. We all are here to listen, encourage, lift you up and agree in prayer that we all are overcomes. Thank you Jesus.
