Falls Or Just Hitting Any Of Your Body Parts, With Flare Up The Next Day
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

About 2 months ago I was working with one of my clients at her home. I had just put her to bed. And soon as I go to another room, she called for a glass if water. I fell on my knees on my way to give her the glass of water. The next morning I had a really bad flare up. 2 weeks after that I hit my thigh while making her bed, hard enough not where as though I end up having another flare up. Has anyone ever experienced this?

I agree... Any aggravating of the Fibro Points does make u hurt.. Bad! Does anyone else bruise easily? I can barely bump my leg ( mostly bruises are hips down for me) and I will have a giant bruise the next day... Hurts way more than it should, and bruises seem to take forever to heal. Have been going thru this at least 6 plus yrs. My firmer GP laughed it off saying " oh my wife is ur age and she always has bruises"...WTH? I once counted almost 70 bruises on my legs.. Some very small but still...WTH... Can't be normal.. Maybe one of the many MEDS I'm on cause it. No blood thinners tho. Also do any of you have THYROID ISSUES? Everyone I know w a Fibro and my friend w Lupus ( she had thyroid cancer and removal. Usually it's women between 40-50 yrs old! Pls get back to me if these things sound familiar. I SWEAR that Thyroid/Fibro are somehow linked... Too many women have them BOTH!

Any bumps, walking, reaching, carrying can aggrevate and flare up, especially the next day. It doesn't take much for me. Just carrying groceries in can aggrevate my pain terribly.

Absolutely! Everytime i bump my legs or knees, the pain is 10x worse and then i get a flare up.

I too have thyroid issues and fall for no reason at all, torn both thigh muscles due to falls. Also bruise very easily and they too take forever to heal as do the many small cuts and sores.
