Feels Like Electric Shock
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi, out of the blue, when opening my car door or a normal door, I've had the most searing, electric shock like pain from wrist to shoulder, literally makes me scream, and I'm paralized for a few minutes, in agonising pain, then it's gone. Is this Fibromyalgia?
Thank you.

Quite possibly, obviously cannot say definately but ive had this a few times but with me it was from the middle of my spine around my ribs. The pain was so searing i jumped back and couldnt move for a few minutes and I was screaming. My hubby didnt know what to do and then it just passed.

You may want to have that looked at, sometimes I have times where my arm just goes weak for no reason , but that could be something separate. You certainly don't want to leave it unchecked especially if it has happened frequently , I'm not a doctor but more than a couple times is like a red flashing sign if I don't know for sure . :)

Mention this to your doctor. Electric shock pain can be related to nerve impingement either in neck or shoulder.
