Lately I don't get mad I get in raged, it's like all I see is red!! When I get angry I want to hit something, I really don't like how I feel when I get mad. It's like the Incredible Hulk , that's how it's been lately!!!

Members connected over the frustrating experience of sudden, intense anger that feels uncontrollable, with many attributing it to medication side effects (particularly antidepressants like Cymbalta, or combinations like Tramadol and SSRIs that can cause serotonin syndrome), chronic pain, and severe sleep deprivation. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them manage these feelings, including reviewing medications with a doctor, journaling to release pent-up emotions, using stress-relief techniques like loud music or physical outlets, and prioritizing consistent sleep and pain management. A recurring theme was the guilt and sadness that follows an angry outburst, the importance of self-forgiveness, and gratitude for understanding loved ones who recognize that chronic illness can amplify emotions in ways that feel beyond one's control.

Do you feel a stress medication might help? Stress is a main contributor to pain. Just something for you to think about.

I don't really have anger issues but I may feel anger. I'm careful to control when feeling anger bc it scares me. I see how others act out and don't want to be like them. It makes me sad.To me anger is a emotion that only we control. You may find that when looking at why your anger, it wasn't worth being angry in the first place.

Think about everything you are now going through lately ... Have there been any changes?
Buy yourself a nice writing book and a comfy pen and an iPod and put some really loud punchy music on that you can scream out loud to when your home alone writing down what's in your head.
Punching it out relieves it for the moment but it's still in there niggling away ... Putting it down on paper (yes paper because it's far more satisfying then a laptop with smooth touch buttons) anyway getting it down on paper gets it out of your head and you'll soon see the difference .. Choose a trusted friend to read it and drink a bottle of wine or something while you both laugh or cry over it... Anything but get angry xxx hugz
