On yesterday I had a lot of pain and weakness in my arm and shoulder .Lots of swelling in my neck very painful. This illness is just so misunderstood
Weakness all the time. I went from gym rat to flat. My bf opens bottles and jars, comes with me grocery shopping most of the time to carry everything. He's even at times held my purse to allow my shoulder a break. I've also developed problems in my hands (testing for arthritis) and I know what it's like to struggle gripping something so simple. It's with the territory. I happen to deal with it now severely than others, and the other way around too. Some days you'll feel like superman opening a can or a jar or carrying a carton of milk! 💪💪
My strength has definitely decreased since being diagnosed. I find that I get really stiff as well, I keep saying that I am going to do yoga, but haven't yet, I think that would help. Sometimes I am a little off balance too. Getting up bleachers for my grandsons games is always a challenge, my daughter in laws friends all put out there hands to keep me from falling and I can tell they get nervous. I could be embarrassed, or angry, but I love those girls and know that they are doing it for my protection.
I was also taking the injections every month. I had to stop for financial reasons, I it took my body 3 months not to expect the chemical and it was so imbarable at times. I too can't even put my hair up without pain and weakness. So aggravating.
Oh Joyce I feel for you, we have one of those invisible diseases that people think we are fine when we are really not. Gentle Hugs to you all.
