So I go to physical therapy 3 x a week n they wipe the tables down after every person. However they don't wipe the straps n balls etc down. I'm worried that someone sick will touch one n then I go to use it n I get sick. I can't get sick.
I was thinking about asking them if there's anything I can bring in to use to wipe them down so I don't get sick.
Any ideas or thoughts

Members rallied around someone worried about infection risks at physical therapy, especially given their compromised immune system and inability to afford getting sick due to fibromyalitis. Many community members suggested bringing personal antibacterial wipes or hand sanitizer to every session, asking the facility to use their own cleaning spray on equipment before use, or even purchasing personal therapy equipment to avoid shared items altogether. A recurring theme was the importance of not touching your face after contact with shared surfaces, washing hands thoroughly after sessions, and confidently advocating for your health needs without apology since healthcare providers should understand immunocompromised concerns.

I'm sure if you explain your worries to them, they will be more than willing to help out. I would offer to bring your own wipes, but I'm sure they will offer their cleaners. It would only take an extra minute to wipe things down. Especially if you have a poor immune system or get sick easily, mention that and I'm sure they won't hesitate to clean those items.

Just tell them you are not being fussy but your immune system is "extremely low" and I'm sure they will do what they can to help you.
