Members responded to a question about persistently itchy ears by sharing their own experiences and suggesting several possible causes beyond fibromyalgia, including nerve sensitization, ear dermatitis or eczema, and food allergies. Several members recommended seeing an ENT or dermatologist for proper diagnosis, with some sharing that hydrocortisone cream or prescription treatments helped relieve their ear itching and irritation. A recurring theme was the frustration of dealing with hard-to-reach itching and the importance of being cautious about over-cleaning or irritating the ear canal further.

I am having similar problems with my ears itching like crazy. I use a q-tip to clean the several times a day and am constantly poking my finger in my ear trying to help with the itching. When I went to my primary care he checked my ears and noticed they were irritated and scaly. I found out that I have ezcema in my ears and now behind my ears but no other place on my body. I was given a cream that helps relieve that annoying itch.

Mine do this and it's like you can't reach it at all but I don't know if it is from fibro or not

Have you been tested for food allergies? This is a common symptom of allergies.

I have dermatitis in my ears. I put hydrocortisone with a q tip. Just be careful not to go crazy with digging in them. Maybe check with ENT or dermatology.
