What's the difference if any between fibro and autoimmune disease?

@A MyFibroTeam Member I have Myofascial pain syndrome, migranes, and chest pain also. These things caused me to get fibro and also can cause flair ups. My specialist says it's my T3/4 and my neck that are causing my symptoms ( of Myofascial pain syndrome, migranes and chest pain). These things caused and contributed to my fibro. Its only after my specialist treats these areas I get relief with fibro.

Fibromyalgia has symptoms that resemble those of some rheumatic illnesses, including rheumatoid arthritis and lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus). These are autoimmune diseases in which a defective immune system mistakenly attacks the body's own healthy tissue, producing inflammation and damage.

Fibromyalgia is not classified as an autoimmune disease. Since there is no known cause for fibromyalgia, future clinical studies may uncover autoimmunity plays a part.

Because fibromyalgia was once believed to be an arthritis-related condition, and rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease, the erroneous assumption was that fibromyalgia fits into this category.

Fibromyalgia affects about 5 million adults in the United States.
I found this on the web😂

I have Fibromyalgia and Hashimotos Thyroiditis. Because Hashimotos is an autoimmune disease I wasn't surprised by the Fibromyalgia diagnosis. Fatigue is my biggest issue, I never seem to wake up.
