Of course talk to your doctor they may help you with another recommended drug until you can transition.

I have taken tramadol for YEARS. I was up to 400(?) Mg daily ( 6 to 8 pills). Now i am down to 3... one every 6 hours. I take mine right before bed. I have always had trouble sleeping, so i dont think this affects it.

I am pretty new to this but I have worried about it stopping on me.
I have read that if you can quit taking it for a couple of weeks that once your body is used to not taking it you can start again.
I have been taking mine for a year and it's effects seem to be not as good as they used to be.
It may take changing temporarily to another medication then back again.

Talk to your doctor. S/he may want to increase the dosage, or increase the number of pill you take a day. Also, it could be something else and you need to have it checked out.
