Have any of your physicians scheduled test that you for thought were unnecessary since you knew the symptom was related to fibromyalgia?

I think God for the Dr. I have, her sister in-law has Fibromyalgia. So I get the benefits of her being a Dr. and also the compassion she feels for her sister in-law. Most Drs. still have the attitude that the symptoms we complain about are in our head. So my dr. does not send me for unecessary test nor to pain clinics. She prescribes all the medications I need. I would suggest to keep looking for a primary care dr. that understands Fibro. they are out there but you have to look It took me 5 drs. to finally find her. Hope this helps someone. Prayers for all on this site.

I think they want to be safe and I, for one, appreciate it. My elbow was really bothering me and I wasn't sure if it was fibro or something else. I was glad when he ordered an x-ray just to be sure.
