Over the past six years I have tried every remedy, all types of equipment, pain meds, mmj, antidepressants, chiropractors, massage therapists, bowen work, acupuncture, myofascial release, TENS units, back belts, knee braces, muscle relaxers, bought an infrared sauna on and on and on. I would jump off a bridge if I thought it would help.

Members responded with cautious optimism to someone asking about hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy for fibromyalgia pain after reading it could be nearly 100% effective. Several members shared practical insights, including one who was actively undergoing treatment at an MS center for £6 per session and reported meeting other fibro patients who found it life-changing, though noting it requires commitment to multiple sessions and may not be covered by insurance. A recurring theme was the desperate search for relief expressed through shared stories of trying countless treatments without success, with members bonding over the relentless burning pain and the willingness to try almost anything for even temporary relief.

I've just started a course of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, I had my third session today (apparently you need 15). I go to my local MS centre where they are charging £6 a session for a course of 15 sessions. I went for my dive today with two other fibro patients. One was on dive 20 and was beginning to feel effects and the other said it had been completely life changing. It may not work for everyone but I thought it was worth a go.

Even having relief for a couple of hours would be amazing.

I read an interesting article that the studies linked Epstein Barr Virus. Said typically once you've had the virus aka mononuclosus that it remains in a dormant stage but for other the virus does not stay dorman. says a common start Is for the virus to invade the thyroid making the bod attack the thyroid to try andremove the virusbutthe Dr's aren't linking the flare in autoimmune deseases to this virus moving through the body setting up shop I significan't areas that in the end are typicaly listed as autoimmueproblems of our bodieslooking at our own organ & tissue as foreign when in fact it'sa birus that has mingled it's way into your blood and somehow alters things. Very interesting ready. There are multiple aticles however The one I found the most interesting is the one that breaks down the different stages/ife progresson of disease EVB wreaks on the body.
