My primary care doctor does not believe that fibro is a real disease.
Oh I'm so sorry! I have to tell you that I have been a nurse since 2002 and when I first started to work, I was instructed even back then that were going to be some of my patients that were going to tell me that they have fibromyalgia and to not fall for it because there is no such thing. So that's how I was wired for such a long time. Over the years I listened to dozens and dozens of my patients who claimed they had this condition repeat the same symptoms over and over. I started writing these symptoms down and would spend as much time with these patients I could asking them as many questions I could think of. It didn't take long for me to realize that this was very real . And then I got diagnosed last year. Unfortunately, there are still people in the medical field that will never be open to this. It's really very sad. I'm sure you will find someone on this site that will give you a good referral. Good luck and don't give up looking!
