My doctor told me that my lapse of memory and words, along with blurriness to my perfect eyesight, were, indeed side affects of taking Tramadol. I'm on a very light dose now and there's some improvement. When I was trying to work myself off it and weaned down to one light dose pill at night, my head was much clearer. So, I believe it's truly a side effect. I was having too much pain and had to add more Tramadol and the side effects came back. At lease it was good to verify that it was from the medication and I wasn't "losing" my mental capacity.

I used too so stopped taking it is function better with no meds in lots of pain but it's much better with out the fog x

That is a rough call on the Ultram, I know it can cause the short term memory loss. There are no easy answers for any of us. as all the meds work differently

i make notes and keep them in my phone which is never far from me since i am alone alot during the day. plus i have a calendar book i write things in. i may have to get one with bigger blocks next year.

I take Tramadol, and have short term memory problems but I thought it was part of Fibro fog. I have to write lists as I think of things that I need to do otherwise I forget!
