I have always had trouble sleeping. ALWAYS. Today I slept 20 hours.
I literally stayed in bed for 3 days sleeping only getting up to use the restroom. I didn't watch TV, get on Facebook, answer my phone, or eat. I can really just sleep endlessly.
I get like that a few times a month..but I still sleep in snatches. I never seem to sleep more than 3 hours..rarly do I and then its no more than 4. My normal is sleep for 2 up for three kinda pattern..so there are days when I'm so so tired I sleep off and on the whole day and night.
Yes. It is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. For me, this symptom started just before Christmas. It didnt use to matter if I stayed up til one or two in the morning. I would always get up around 8 or 9. Now I get up around 10 or 11 and sometimes when I do, it feels like I havent slept at all. If I have nothing to do, I give in. I have discussed this with my doctor and he wants me to at least limit it to 10 hours. One thing my shrink said that may help is to have a concrete goal or something you have to do where someone depends on you. It gives you a reason to keep the sleep in smaller doses.
