I am curious to see if there is a correlation between our gut health (including good bacterial flora in the gut) and the incidence of fibromyalgia. I'm hoping that by healing a leaky gut, I will also get rid of my fibro.
I would really love to be able to do a survey of all of us and post results to see if there are commonalities amongst us all to try to determine if there are causes and thus possible leads to healing and wellness. Anyone have any ideas on how to do that?
Yes, went paleo last year and reduced my stiffness and pain by about 60%, struggling to maintain though as I don't like to cook.
glad I am not the only one with this problem I tried using lactose free milk and lactose free products which do help a bit
I get really bad digestive problems, and they have definitely started with the fibro. I get days of constipation followed by a couple of days of nothing but arse gravy, then back to constipated again. I do take a laxative once a week to try to deal with the constipation, only to have it go so radically in the other direction! I onlr ever take a very mild laxative, but as I said, the result is quite catastrophic
. I hope this helps, (and that you're not eating as you read.......:-)
I am milk, soy, and wheat intolerant. I will be having blood work to let me know if I am also gluten intolerant. I love Chinese food and now I ask for less msg but the last time I had Chinese I was sick and bloated. I don't know what happened but I'm thinking about trying it again, they might not have done it without msg.
I've been treated for various GI issues. They don't seem to affect my pain or fatigue, ususally only my GI related symptoms (I also have IBS). For example, taking a short round of antibiotics for bacteria overgrowth in my small intestine helped with the near constant burping I've had for several years. I've also been tested for food intolerances and had only slight inflammation from lactose.
