I'm a little afraid it'll make my fatigue worse.
I go to a therapy pool once a week or so, and I would go more often but some days I am not up to driving through busy traffic 40 minutes one way to get there. I have seen it help other fibro people who get there 2 or 3 times a week or more, and that is my goal. I hope you have easy access to it and get relief. Gentle hugs.
I go each week to an NHS sessions and then I pay locally for a private session, the pool is body temp and so lovely, the water supports your muscles and bones so that you can move and exercise with a physio present. It doens,t make you more tired in fact the opposite because as you work and pump up your muscles over a period of time you get more energy. don,t worry about size are shape, we a re ALL in the same boat due to lack of mobility. I dropped 2 dress sizes after the first year!!
Sorry l am a bit late with this reply. The warm water pool and spa help a lot. I find it hard to get excercise on land as this hurts but when l go to the heated pools l float on a noodle and do my excercises under water. I can excercise for an hour and l don't feel any pain. I then have a spa which also helps. I try to go about twice a week. I would go more often but it is a 20min drive.
I was put in what I call pool therapy at my worst. It was a heated pool with water jets and I did my physical therapy in it. It was the only thing that brought me back to a tolerable level of pain. I felt so much better all around.
i liked the pool , i just could not stand the indoor smell from the pool ! and then the walk to the changing room was sooooooooooooo cold ! i have a spa at my apartments but it is only open during the summer and closes at 5 pm ! love michele
