Members shared a wide variety of remedies for calming restless legs, with the most commonly recommended approaches being increased water intake, eating bananas for potassium, taking magnesium supplements, and using warm Epsom salt baths to ease discomfort. Several members found relief through physical techniques like massaging the legs and feet (especially the bottoms), pointing toes up and down before bed, wrapping up in a warm blanket, or applying essential oil lotions, while others described needing prescription medications like ropinirole or Mirapex, though one member humorously declined meds after being warned about hallucinations. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding what works for each individual, with many encouraging the original poster to try multiple suggestions and stay patient in discovering their own best combination of remedies.

I just upped the dose of ropinirole and it has helped tremendously. I now take 1.5 mg at night. I was not totally aware that I had restless limb syndrome until I had a sleep study done. My feet were moving over 90% of the night which kept my brain speeding also!! No wonder I was so tired all the time....one would have hoped I had lost weight moving all that much but no such luck! Occasionally I will get restless legs with the jerking but not really a problem. I find it helps to rub Two Old Goats Essential Oils Lotion on the bottom of my feet also. It has a mix of different things....got it from Amazon.

Restless legs is such a nasty thing. I searched all over online for different solutions and the only thing that actually worked for me was upping my water intake and eating bananas. I guess I needed more potassium (who knew lol) Hope you get some relief. Hugs <3
