Have any of you been pregnant while having fibro and if so how did you make it though? I'm not very along and I already feel like I can't make it the whole 9 months. I feel like all my symptoms are amplified and nothing I was doing is currently helping. I need help, I'll take anything you've got.
Fortunately for me I had 2 pregnancies through fibro and after month 3 it was great! As you move along in your pregnancy your hormones get stronger and, for me, all my symptoms disappeared. It was amazing! I was very lucky! My consultant confirmed that most fybromites feel better when pregnant so I would imagine it's possible for you too. Pregnancy is hard on a healthy body anyway so don't blame it all on the fybro. Yoga, meditation, swimming, gentle walking used to help in the early months. Don't start something new and go mad though as your body won't be used to it, take your time xx
That's really incredible you did so well Lorraine. Good helpful news! Everything I have hence come across said fibro and birthing babies is hard to which I have to attest. But fibro is so crazy, who knows how'll it will go as both my in uterine babies and me suffered. I just read a blog on FibroDaze website... wow. It's good at getting home a point... negative feeling make fibro worse. You should read it and print it out for future reference as well, Manders. You need to stay positive that all will be well for you and your baby.
I was pregnant twice while being fibromyalgia. Except I didn't know then I had fibro. So I was really feeling crazy. If I had known then what it was (back in the 80's...before doctors recognized it.), sad to say I wouldn't have gotten pregnant to begin with. Unfortunately, I had worse pain during... and not quite normal deliveries. I don't mean to scare you..it's doable. I had no meds I had to quit taking, because I wasn't on any. My kids made up for the misery I guess. Best to get a really good doc and OB is my best guess. And a good ear, (you have mine) and DEFINITELY a good caregiver for yourself... to help you thru the 9 Months!
Try peppermint body wash. Essential oils, read jokes, watch comedies. anything to distract you
Im at 13 wks now and man o man...off all of my meds, so that's quite an adjustment but pregnancy hormones are kinda crazy anyhow. Plus i have Narcolepsy so my biggest issue rt now is little to no energy at all. A website i came across said 2-3 20-30 min naps a day is supposed to help. It's been ok...
