I agree with @A MyFibroTeam Member...I've been getting them all year...they r only temporary!!
I am not the person to ask. I had a doctor who filled a syringe and injected me over and over. The third visit I could hardly drive home, had worst migraine, ran a fever. Now I have allergy to steroid injections.😢
I go every 30 days and get like 20. I get them down my neck, across both shoulders and a few in the middle of my back and 3 on each side of lower. They help for a few weeks and a few weeks is better than no help at all!
After years of fighting pain, my doctor just now offered me the trigger point shots. Pain is not my main symptom, but it angers me that I'm not allowed to use anything else for occasional pain. The medical world still doesn't understand at all
I have had trigger point injections in my back about 4 times. They usually last about 3-4 weeks. I know some people that say they last 6 weeks and others who say they don't work at all. If you can afford it, it's definitely worth trying and the shots themselves cause only a second of very minimal pain.
