Members shared which medications they rely on most for managing fibromyalgia pain, with Lyrica and Neurontin emerging as the most frequently mentioned, often described as essential daily medications that members immediately notice when missed. Several members emphasized the importance of pain management medications like hydrocodone, oxycodone, and Flexeril, with many noting the need to stay ahead of pain flares and the limited but meaningful window of relief these medications provide. A recurring theme was the challenge of balancing multiple medications for pain, sleep, mood, and other conditions, alongside the frustration some members felt about not being taken seriously by their doctors or having to suffer in silence.

For me it is Hydrocodone ( Vicodin ) 5-325 I take 1 or 2 a day depending what I did in the day.For me it helps the pain go down..when it is rising...because if I let the pain continue after doing too much no meds work for me..If I am at home and did not have to get much done..I rest like I am suppose to and use my electric blanket when I feel the pain rising..that helps a lot..but I am not always at home when the pain starts rising..so I will take a vicodin to stop it from rising until I can get home..

I just discovered how much flexoril helps. I forgot the pharmacy closed early and went a day without flexoril. Had a very painful night and could barely move when I got out of bed. My wonderful husband went and picked it up first thing this morning and I felt so much better!

I only take ibuprofen or naproxen sodium plus a muscle relaxant for my pain. I take meds for depression and anxiety as well as my diabetes meds. As I said earlier, I don't think my PCP takes my ailments seriously. I suffer in silence some days. I do not feel sorry for myself or expect anything from anyone else....except understanding without judgement.
