I know that the gabapentin works for my pain , but I dont know if it is the gabapentin that is causeing my confusion ,memory loss , fatique, memory loss , weakness , weight gain and etc or if its the fibromyagia , I dont want to be in pain, but I sometimes feel I am slowly losing it mentally

Did the Neurontin help with the Fibro pain? I heard it helps more than Lyrica or Savella with the pain of Fibro. I take Xanax for the anxiety - small dose of 0.25 mg not more than 3 x's a day. I also take Meloxicam, but only 15 mg a day. Gabapentin is the drug I am going to ask the Dr. to put me on instead of Savella. Hoping It does a better job with reducing the overall pain.

Being on prednisone long term is very bad for you, it's bad for your bones.It can cause something called avascularosis-- which means it keeps the bone cells from getting a blood supply and the bone dies .I've had to have both hips replaced due to this and now it's affecting both my knees. I took prednisone daily for about 5 yrs for fibromyalgia that was in the 90"s . And then I had my 1st hip replaced in 2002.

I am on gabapanten and it has helped me. I take 400 mg morning, afternnon, and 800at bed time. I sleep pretty good and it does help pain.
