Can I ask if anyone's scalp ever feels sore to touch, as if bruised but it's not. I keep getting patches on my head that are tender and if pressed feel as if should have bruising. it's never the same area, and I haven't bumped my head. I don't have a headache either. I take magnesium already to ward off migraine and drink loads of water and herbal tea daily. I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any ideas. Thanks for reading x

Members overwhelmingly related to the experience of a sore scalp that feels bruised without any injury, describing it as one of fibromyalgia's many painful and often misunderstood symptoms. Several members shared that the pain feels like hair being pulled tight in a ponytail, occurs in random shifting spots, and can make simple tasks like washing, brushing, or even resting one's head unbearable, with some finding temporary relief through heat packs, ice, massage, coconut oil, or pain medication. A recurring theme was the comfort of knowing they weren't alone or "crazy," as many had been met with confusion when trying to explain this symptom to others, and the community provided solidarity, gentle hugs, and reassurance that scalp tenderness is a real and recognized part of living with fibromyalgia.

Central Nervous System issue, head and spine, I have pain from the top of my head to my feet. I use a heated bean bag and put it on top of my head to feel better. Heat seems to work better for me than the cold compresses available.

Yes scalp is sore every day to the touch. And when I get a migraine even worse. Also, skin very sensitive to the touch...feels like a sunburn et if you push on the muscles makes you want to scream. Over the last few yrs went from long hair to very short hair. Do not own any time of curling iron. I barrel brush bangs et take breaks blowing drying hair use I mouse lifter et then fluff hair with hands or pick after spray hair spray all over. Use to be a jean girl with nice tops et where shorts last 2 yr. all I wear are dresses so my skin doesn't hurt. Welcome to the wonderful world of Fibro!!!! :) You aren't alone. We are all here for you to vent, or whatever you need to do. God bless. Love et hugs your way/
