Members overwhelmingly connected over experiencing constant clumsiness, balance issues, and dropping things, confirming these symptoms are a normal part of fibromyalgia rather than personal failings or separate conditions. Many community members described practical adaptations they've made to stay safer, including using canes for balance and fall prevention, switching to plastic dishes and lightweight items, adding pool noodles to door handles to prevent bruising, and requesting wheelchair assistance when needed. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of feeling embarrassed or "drunk" in public, being mistaken for unsafe at home due to bruises, and struggling with tasks that once felt automatic, but members found comfort and humor in knowing they weren't alone in these frustrating daily challenges.

I believe many of us with Fibro also have arthritis. I lose my balance often!

I too ached since I was about 8. I always knew when the weather was changing and I stumbled a lot, bounced off walls and door jams. I am surprised I haven't been charged with public intoxicaton when I walk any place. its amazing how many similar symptoms we shared for so many years without knowing the reason. And some Dr.s still think its in our heads!

Sometimes my clumsiness is worse than ever - does anyone else ever find that when it is at it's worse it is also hard to think clearly or even speak without mixing your words up - even sometimes when I'm typing the words are all spelt wrongly or is that just me?
