I have an office job and on a good day I am able to perform all task no problem. But I'm having few of those lately. I feel like my eyes get strained, sitting hurts and typing is sometimes too painful. I would love to hear from you!

Members shared a wide range of employment experiences living with fibromyalgia, from working full-time despite constant pain and brain fog to being unable to work at all due to the unpredictability of symptoms. Several members described flexible or home-based work arrangements that help them manage, including substitute teaching, cake decorating, eBay sales, and volunteering, while others shared that they left careers in nursing, finance, and healthcare after years of struggling with sitting pain, cognitive difficulties, and the inability to maintain reliable schedules. A recurring theme was the fierce determination many feel to keep working despite immense physical and mental challenges, balanced with the difficult reality that some have had to stop working entirely and apply for disability.

Yes work full time. Typing always painful. Sittings painful but so is moving around. People don't understand the brain fog but most days I get through and keep going. It is tough but I refuse to give in

Although I had many health problems I managed to work until 50,but that doesn't mean it was easy. I missed a lot of work. People looked at me and didn't understand the problem because I didn't look sick. I have been called lazy also although my history showed I wasn't that! I am so sorry you have to deal with ignorant people.
