Does Anyone Else Experience Muscle Knots And What Do You Do For These Painful Knots?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am suffering from painful knots throughout my body, some visible and some that can just be felt. I am too tender for these knots to be massaged and my tens unit also hurts my knots. What can I do to help get them out?

Have you tried acupuncture as a first step. It was recommended to me by an orthopaedic masseur as I was so 'knotted' but so tender he couldn't treat me. After 6 sessions in a two week period they had all gone (after only 2 the difference was amazing and the pain significantly reduced) although I continued on for another 6 quick fire sessions to deal with other things I now only go once a fortnight to 'maintain' I now deal with any knotty issues before they become issues with heat pads and Epsom Salts baths and simple relaxation and stretching techniques.

I also practice Qigong (medical t'ai chi) to help . There are some great instructional videos on YouTube to get you started.

Hope this helps and sending gentle hugs x

There are trigger points where the muscle inserts at bone. If you a massage therapist push and release the muscle. It worked for me. I go to a massage school and come out of there, out of pain.

out of pain.

Drink lots of water, Epsom salts baths help, and get a massage if you can. Drink some hot tea and try to relax...
