Members responded with deep empathy to the exhaustion and sleep deprivation that accompanies fibromyalgia, sharing a variety of supplements and strategies that have personally helped them manage fatigue. Several members recommended B vitamins, magnesium citrate, turmeric, iron, vitamin D, and 5-HTP for boosting energy and improving sleep quality, while emphasizing the critical importance of consulting with a doctor before starting any new supplement to avoid harmful interactions with existing medications. A recurring theme was the need to pace oneself without guilt, track patterns through tools like sleep journals or fitness trackers, and remember that chronic pain itself drains energy both physically and emotionally.

Being in pain all the time wears us out phsyically and emotionally. The only suggestion I have for you is to pace yourself as much as possible. I've started taking prenatal vitamins. They cover everything and as long as your dr doesn't have a problem with it. I seem to feel a bit better. Still go to bed wide awake and wake up tired. Make sure you take a good magnesium. It's good for your muscles and to help with sleep. I don't take a sleep aid. But that's because of other illnesses I have to take so much medication to survive. Long story. Check with your dr and see if you need a vitamin b12. Also most of us are. lower in vitamin D. This you can buy over the counter. But another poster suggested doing your research on the quality of the vitamins you are taking. Is your iron okay? just a few suggestions. Please check with your dr. Before you start anything. Supplements can interfere with each other and other meds we take. A lot of us just want to feel better and we are willing to try about anything. We just need to be smart about it. Good luck on your journey. Hugs-Em xxxx
