So I was going to ask a specific question about fibrofog but then I forgot..oh the irony. Lol(have to laugh at myself sometimes) I guess I'll ask a different question...

So I have major joint problems with my knees, hips, and ankles. They give out on stairs and get very achy, over the past month my ankles got severely worse in a very quick period of time. They ache every time I walk, I have to give myself at least 10 extra minutes to walk across my school campus because I have to give them… read more

Members shared experiences with severe ankle and joint pain related to fibromyalgia, offering practical suggestions when traditional imaging showed nothing wrong. Several members recommended checking vitamin B1 and vitamin D levels (often deficient in fibromyalgia patients), trying anti-inflammatory creams and diets, elevating legs above heart level while sleeping, and seeking specialist opinions including a foot doctor to rule out conditions like tarsal tunnel syndrome. A recurring theme was the frustration of invisible pain that tests cannot capture, the unpredictable nature of fibromyalgia symptoms, and the importance of experimenting with different strategies until something brings relief.

Ask your GP to check your Thiamine levels (vitamin b1) and Vitamin D levels Fibro people usually lack these vitamins which is required to promote good muscles and we tend to get more pain in all our joints.

I have similar issues. When I wake up in the morning my legs and feet are so stiff, swollen, and painful that I almost can't walk to the bathroom. I spend a lot of the morning rubbing and stretching. I, too, have to plan a lot of extra time to get across campus because of whatever foot, ankle, leg pain might be acting up on any given day (it's almost never the same). Since starting lyrica, I have more good days, but I'm not close to "normal." I gauge my "good" day, "bad" day often on whether I can make it across campus in a normal amount of time and if I can take the stairs.

There's no arthritis. Though I feel it somewhat in the joints, it's not focused there and changes. There's no single or limited sore spot.

I do not have joint problems, thankfully. But I am convinced that some of our health problems are caused or at least exacerbated by our diet. Aspertame makes me feel poisoned. Sweets increase my pain. We are all different but maybe this is an area you could explore. I hope you find some relief.

Have you tried elevating your legs from the knee up just slightly when you sleep ? I went and found one of those pillows you can use to sit up in bed and read with. It has a large back, and arms on it. I found it at a thrift store. I turn it so the highest part is up and put it under my knees when I get ready to go to sleep. It helps to get your legs above your heart level. My legs and ankles thank me in the morning and I can use the pillow before sleep for sitting in bed while reading or playing games on my kindle without disturbing hubby.

I've had ankle pain as well lately! Mostly on the tops of my ankles, not the sides, if that makes sense. I don't know what to do for it. I've been using Aspercream which seems to help.
