I keep reading about fibro fog and I'm not sure as to what exactly is happening when you get it. I do experience times when I forget things, forget what I'm doing, forget where I'm going to, what I went into a room to get, and I notice I talk to myself more and sometimes just go blank. Also dizzy spells. Idk if it has to do with the fibro fog or something else. Alzheimer's runs in my dad's side of my family, he had it, his mom, and my aunt and also just forgetfulness. So idk if what I am… read more

Yes fribro fog it's scary. I have fallen, talked to people then really forget who am I talking too. Dizziness and a lot other symptoms that seem weird. Ok it's not funny but I try to laugh at my own life. The other day it was dark and I woke up thinking my bed was as big as my whole room. It gave me a sense of happiness and despised to roll around the whole "room". Not until I heard where are you going that I realized I was in the corner ready to roll myself out of bed lol! I also shop online and then forget what I got. My husband asks why there is a difference in our checking account, I just say you're asking me? Then the packages start coming and I don't remember when I got or what I got. It's dangerous. I start laughing every time there is a box on my porch! Buaaajaa it wasn't me, blame it on the fibro!
Fogs are or can be ... When you become fogged, literally meaning that when you become confused, disoriented, forget how or what you're doing basically you have no idea for w few seconds what's going on. You kind of restart I've had plenty on the worst times.... Most recent I was walking down the stairs and suddenly looked up for something and next I knew I was at the bottom of the stairs where I'd fallen down after I can only assume missing a step .... Queue emergency services :( ... Or I can be talking to people and I just go vacant like lights are on and no ones home ... It's different but the same if that makes sense x x hope it helps x
Okay. I feel better knowing this is probably foggy brain. I too thought it might be early alz.
There are so many of us though that we may need to come up with a warning for the rest of the world. Like maybe stickers that say- "warning-I frequently fog." or "I'm feeling a little foggy today, approach with caution". The world may not understand, but the rest of us could help keep everyone safe. Unless of course we were having a foggy day too. I don't know - what do y'all think?
I agree @A MyFibroTeam Member. I've noticed a couple people with the same concerns. Sounds like fibro fog to me. If you are that concerned and really want to know the Drs can give you a test for the alzheimers. You are very young. I will share this, the more you stress over it the worse it is. I have forgotten stuff on the stove. (Left some eggs boiling, went to my friends daughter's gymnastics and stopped by the store when I remembered I left them cooking. When I got home, my house was filled with smoke (no fire, thankfully) the fire department came. I was so embarrassed. I've learned to place things in the same place everytime, use timers when normally I wouldn't have before so I don't forget stuff on the stove, write everything down-my smart phone helps out a lot, and conscientiously focus on one task. I am really bad about talking to myself as well. Good luck on your journey.
I got out of the car once to go into a store and my husband was like " dear are you going to turn the car off and take the keys?" Lol that is fibro fog. I sometimes forgot common words when I am talking. I was at a store once and wanted to ask the employee for something but when i tried I forgot the word. She was like " whats wrongwith you? Are you retarded?" ( this was years ago). Other things like putting stuff down and losing it in 3 seconds. Forgetting common routines etc.
