Other than gabapentin, lyrica, savella, cymbalta what else is there for fibro ? I see a rheumatologist finally in two weeks and I'm scared because I don't know what else they're gonna try

Members shared extensive experiences with medication combinations for fibromyalgia, with the most commonly mentioned treatments including gabapentin, Lyrica (with strong warnings about depression and weight gain side effects), Cymbalta, tramadol, muscle relaxers like Flexeril and Zanaflex, and various pain medications including Norco and oxycodone, though many emphasized that no single medication completely eliminates pain but rather makes it tolerable enough to function. Several members offered practical guidance beyond medication, including warm water therapy pools for stretching and gentle exercise, supplements like B vitamins, magnesium, and vitamin D, medical massage, and keeping detailed notes to find what works for your individual body. A recurring theme was the frustrating experience of being treated like a drug seeker by doctors, the importance of finding a physician who truly listens and has fibromyalgia experience, and the reality that managing this condition often requires a personalized cocktail of treatments rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Everyone of us have different tolerants to meds so if you find a cocktail that works for you. I'm on oxy gabapentin cymbalta vistril conasapam. None I feel really don't take the pain away it Justus makes you in a fog so you don't feel the pain. Don't feel bad my daughter calls be a pill popper and I am always playing the victim

The rheumatologist I went to confirmed the diagnosis of Fybromyalgia but sent me back to my primary physician for continued treatment. He added Lyrica to the list of meds that I take but that's it. He checked for other diseases my problems could stem from but when they turned up negative he knew I was dealing with Fybromyalgia symptoms.

Stay away from lyrica too! That is the drug from you know where! My dr never told everyone of the depression and weight gain that came from this medicine! I beat myself up every day for 2 yrs....and it never helped at all!!

I'm on oxycontin, Duragesic patches, cymbalta, Lyrica, zanaflex, Skelaxin, and far too much. So I have rebelled and am taking my life back. I've cut back to oxy, lyrica, and zanaflex. I want to live my life but not in a blur. Each day I take only enough to get out of bed and it seems to be helping.

I finally had to go on Tramadol and also use the Gapapentin.
