I use a computer all day at work. I'm having issues with my vision. The words will look blurry or I feel like a can't get my eyes to focus. Does anyone else have this? If yes, what did you do about it? Thanks!!! Hugs!!!

Members deeply understood the struggle of computer-related vision problems in fibromyalgia, with the overwhelming consensus being that dry eyes, blurry vision, and difficulty focusing are common symptoms that require professional evaluation by an optometrist or ophthalmologist to rule out other conditions like diabetes, cataracts, or Sjögren's syndrome. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them manage symptoms, including using preservative-free artificial tears or prescription Restasis drops, taking regular breaks from screens using the 20-20 method, trying punctal plugs to retain moisture, getting computer-specific glasses or updated prescriptions, and applying warm compresses or refrigerated drops for relief. A recurring theme was the frustration of vision changes interfering with work and daily life, the importance of self-advocacy in seeking proper diagnosis and treatment, and the reassurance that comes from knowing others in the community face similar challenges.

I have double vision...I see 1/2 vision on top of 1 whole vision....Since I am so use to adapting anyway I can, depending on what I'm doing, I have found two things that really help......(1) "Big Vision" glassed with the light atop the corner of your glasses and shinning directly on what you are doing....(2)...In the car, the two sun visors that contain (2) types of dropdowns....One for sunlight in day time and the other at night when facing head lights....These are a must for me.....I do have expensive rx glasses with prisms and tri-focals.....But I usually wear the "Big Visions" over my rx glasses......As you know by now that I a little weird....Just another thing to prove this....:) soft hugs to all.

I to have had my eyes tested but the optician said they were fine. I get very sore, dry eyes, he told me this is due to the fact I don't fully close my eyes to sleep or blink. Since I have had Fibro I get out of focus vision and blurry episodes these always pass with a nap when it get really bad and I never drive on those days.

My optician told me to get tear drop eye drops. They don't contain additives and preservatives like leading brands. Work well with dry eyes!

yes, I went to a new Optometrist last year, and the glassess I had on were to strong! I could not see out of them everthing looked so blurry. I know some of my meds could cause this too. But when i got the new glasses with inline bifocals I could see perfect. I need the bifocals to read, and type & look at the screen clearly. I aso got a new pair of sun glasses too.
