Fibro is an autoimmune desease

I understand what you have been told, however I was in a Fibromyalgia program at the U of A hospital in Edmonton, where the doctor who was the founder of the program said it was an auto immune disease, and so has every doctor I have had. So it just leads me back to the same place where no one doctor really knows anything, which is truly upsetting.

No, it's not unusual at all. When you have ra (which alone is enough for 1 person), then you are quite apt to develop co-mobidities. So actually what I have besides ra is secondary sjogren's & secondary fibromyalgia.

Im so glad they do . I know they will be giving me the vaccine shot. I am not sure if it is the same as the one they give the children . They said it is in a three part series .

I know in previous posts I posted i did not get a autoimmune disease after Fibromyalgia.  I need to now stand corrected.  I’m going to be really blunt about sex and female body parts in this post. It’s relevant, so I make no apologies. But if you find the subject matter unpleasant, please read no further as you will be offended. I  caught HPV about 13 years ago.  Suddenly the doctor discovered the growth on my cervix , cut it out, and tested it. It was cancerous, but she was able to cut all of it out. At this time she mentioned my Hpv levels are high so i must come in for annual pap smears every six months until i have 6 low HPV levels counts in a row.  Then i can come in every year.  I went for my annual pap everything was great. Lost health insurance and didnt go back for 10 years ( now )  I again have high HPV levels and another growth. Please keep in mind I honestly have not been sexually active . I am sharing this with you so maybe it will show how Fibromyalgia effects the immune system .. and so that maybe others that are having this same issue wont feel alone and may feel open to sharing or talking about their issue.
