Trouble With Speaking
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Im having a flare and I've noticed I'm having issues with fibro fog and with speaking. Sometimes I can't find my words and when I do I say them incorrectly. It's scary. Anyone else experience this?

Yes. All The Time! I used to be really upset about it. Now I just laugh about it. A lot of people experience this that I know. I just accepted it as a part of fibro.

I am teaching/learning at the moment voluntarily and I too have moments when I cannot find the words I have taught a thousand times. It is very worrying and frustrating. I also work with hospital patients in their 80's / 90's and sometimes feel that this is not disimilar to dementia ?? This scares the hell out of me :(

It is like a roller coaster ! One day you feel like all is working pretty good another cant get out of the bed. And can't plan anything. I cancelled my hair appointment three times this month. Just head hurt so much , even skin, I couldn't let anyone touch me.

I find I struggle with talking, like you I can't find the right words. It gets embarrassing and is very stressful
