I had to have a sleep study done maybe 2 years ago. Becouse I just was getting good sleep...the doctor had me do the regular overnight sleep study and a nap study...the over night study showed that I never even came close to ream sleep....for the nap study you take 15 min naps every hour for about 5 hours. Well every time I took the naps I would go right into ream sleep. So they told me I had narcolepsy and it's part of my fibro.
When this started I would fall asleep in the car like at red lights,stop sings..it would scare me. I finely said something to the doctor he sent me for the sleep study the only time I went into rem sleep was nap part..it's crazy what more is fibro going to do to my body?
Going for MLST way beyond RDS now but may need stimulant hard as hell to get!

I had same sleep study n have excessive daytime sleepiness possible rule out narcolepsy. Been through multiple sleep studies over the years w cpap. Now finally neurologist referred me to ent who found why my cpap not working. Scheduled for nasal surgery next week. Also I'm on oxygen w my cpap. I could sleep all day n had sudden nap attacks. Do you know when you have sleep attack?
