I had a interesting convo with my naturopath last night regarding what she believes is the cause of Fibro as she treats a lot of people with it.She said she noticed 2 groups...one group of fibro patients had injurys to their head or spinal cord before getting Fibro. The 2nd group had experienced a lot of trauma.I personally am of both groups having been in a serious car accident and also experienced a lot of trauma as a child in foster care, had a mother with schizophrenia as well I lost my son years ago .My naturopath thought that in both groups and all people with Fibro that we have suffered something that changed the chemicals in our brains and this mixed wiring is sending all the pain signals to our spinal cord which affects all systems of our bodies..because it affects our immune, endcrine system, muscle, connective tissue, brain etc with so many different systems it is obviously more difficult to treat than say if we had one organ that was being affected...this makes a lot sense to me and there is definelty a rheumo-arthritis connection which weather affects greatly considering our flare ups.She feels we have to work hard on mainly these 2 things....keeping our bodies free from inflammation with diet, holistic approach and some cases meds and 2nd free of phlegm which can be done also by diet, massage, reflexology.Obviously she does not have all the answers nor is she a dr but I am open to all things that may be of benefit for managing this and what may help other`s .Please keep me up to date Shawnnie if bio-feeback is of help to you,Best of luck!

I've done biofeedback the breathing techniques and mental imagining I think has helped some.. It definately takes the pain down a noch or two.

I've done biofeedback also for all the headaches I was getting yes ago. It did help some with the headaches but never tried it for the all over pain of fibro. It was a really interesting experience though. Gosh that's been 35 yrs ago.

See that's the thing..my doc and allot of what I read days there isn't any inflammation in the body..and that yes they agree with the two groups but people that have fibre.ashtray had the issue but either physical or emotional triggered it.you might ashtray even had it cause a parent has it ...yes diet and all the things you mentioned they agree that will help the symptoms..that to me is the craziest thing about this..no one can agree even tho both very qualify to treat fibro..not enough if known about it...now reattach needs to be done..I think because it's not life threading they don't put enough effort into it
