You shouldn't keep your feelings bottled up inside you. Hopefully this site will give you support and encouragement and allow you to share your feelings with people who understand. I know it's very hard when husbands don't understand and many of them don't, including mine.
I know what your going through. I remember being 16 and giving my boyfriend a book on Fibro. They have to want to be there for you and understand what your going through. I found it was hard for ppl to understand because its not a disease its a syndrome, therefor, people sometimes think it means its not as bad. Support from loved ones is what helps us get through the day. I always said you don't have to understand it but you have to believe in me. Also, having him maybe come to the doctors with you so he can get answers to any of his own questions.
Good Luck with this one, my boyfriend and I of 2 years just split because he was positive that I was faking my symptoms of exhaustion among other things. I endured many lectures on all I need is "fresh air and sunshine"...thinking of you, hope all goes well dear one.
Just be honest or find a page explaining fibro myalgia and get you partner to read it, hope this helps xx
It's not easy for the other person and my wife had a hard time in the beginning but she cared enough to educate herself she goes to my doctors with me reads new info and try's to help me that being said there are times she wants to go out and I just can't it takes some compromise and understanding on both sides
