Tumeric
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone else used tumeric for pain relief and if so, how did you use it and what could I expect? Does it help for overall poetic? Joint pain? Skin pain? Nerve pain... You get where I'm going with this.

Thanks

Rebecca

The recipe that I got from the Internet for the turmeric was 1/2 cup of turmeric to 3/4 cup of water. Cook on low heat until it's a paste, store it in a glass jar, and store it in the refrigerator, it lasts for 3 days.

That newsletter that I mentioned, you have to google it and then click on a link that will take you to the page, and you register for free. I think I get a newsletter everyday. It really helps cause it tells you what not to eat, some exercises, it teaches you some meds you can take. I really enjoy reading it.
The amount of honey you put is up to you, you put as much as you like. The turmeric is really bitter, so I suggest to make a smoothie or put it in some milk or almond milk with the honey. Or to make it easier buy the turmeric capsules, this other lady said Walmart has it at a really cheap price.
With me the tumeric helped, but you have to take it religiously.
I took these capsules, the product is called Zyflamend, and it has Holy basil(75mg), turmeric 50mg, Chinese skullcap 50mg, lemon balm 42.5mg, chamomile 37.5 mg, hops 37.5 mg, ginger 37.5 mg, valerian 10mg.
I take the night time one, cause it helps me sleep. It comes in the daytime one, which has green tea.
If you can't find it where you live, you can order it online.
I live in Canada, it costs me 32.00 CAN dollars. Every person is different, it helped me after a while, the only thing that it did , I have a hiatus hernia, so it gave me pain in my upper stomach so I had to stop it.
You have to eat a full meal when you take this supplement.
Probably taking the tumeric alone is better.

That is the link for the newsletter. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I also get a newsletter about fybromyalgia, it's called Healthiculture fibromyalgia, it gives you really good suggestions and info on what to do and what to eat.
