I've noticed that my hands shake a lot for no apparent reason. Sometimes my legs are shaking. Even my entire body shakes sometimes. I haven't told my doctors. I'm hoping it will pass. Any feedback will be appreciated.
I have had an Essential Tremor for years it started in just my hands. Have Fibro as well. About ten years ago noticed the restless legs took Requip but that did not help. Drs put you on anti depressants & muscle relaxers because they don't know what else to do.
Presently im experiencing at least once a week all over seizure type shaking. Im on Propranolol 10 mg which helps with the tremors in my hands but not the all over shaking events. I see my primary this month and will discuss this and share some of the posts i found on here. My husband has been present during these episodes so that's good. I was in a car accident in 2012 and since then it seems they are much worse. My psychologist suggested i revisit the neurologist. Ill repost once I have seen any and all drs. We need to help each other.
My hands shake bad when their in pain and feel swelled! And when my whole body is in time it will shake as well! But never when their not in pain
I have the same problem. Especially in my hands. I try to hide it because for those who don't understand, often pass judgment. It can be embarrassing. I find that when I eat often it's not as bad, but nothing I do or don't do changes the shaking. I asked my doctor about it but she really didn't have an answer, what else is new. I shake regardless if I have pain or not.
You know, sometimes I think that people who are not living in circumstances like these have no clue at all what suffering is. I'm at the hand tremor and restless leg only phase right now.
When I cannot contact anyone here because I'm too sick, I think of my maternal and paternal grandmothers who suffered much from doctors without relief or understanding of what they suffered.
Among other things, one of them had Osteoarthritis (which back then the doctors had not yet identified) and the other one had Rheumatoid Arthritis, also not identified or having a known treatment back then.
How they kept from becoming bitter or being grumpy all the time, I have no idea. But sometimes they inspire me because I think of how internally strong they were. One of them had a complete change toward the end of her life. She wouldn't say what it was, or even talk about herself, but her shining face and her astounding attitude change was obvious. I guessed it might have been having the Living God come into her life in a big way. Or maybe she just read her Bible out of boredom (not like there was internet back then) and accidentally found the greatest strength any of us can find!
I will pray for you, dear @A MyFibroTeam Member!
And to @A MyFibroTeam Member, yes, I have both the problems you have now. I hope neither of us has it get worse. So glad for the support here.
I have not mentioned it to my doctor as he is not only ignorant about Fibromyalgia, he has expressed absolute refusal to learn anything about it. He says if he did, he would then become the "resident expert" and he doesn't want to focus his business.....ahem, I mean, "practice" on Fibro.
So, since I don't trust the medicines made of so many chemicals with extreme side effects, I just report what is happening then go on my way.
