I'm going to the mayo clinic next week to see if they can help me more than some of the doctors I have seen. Has anyone been to the mayo clinic in Jacksonville Florida?
I'm a little nervous and don't know what to expect.

Hey friends!!
I was at the Mayo clinic all morning from 6am-10am.
I saw a rheumatologist who specializes in autoimmune diseases.
He said that I have the worst and most severe case of fibromyalgia that he's seen!
He said that all of my symptoms could just be bad fibromyalgia and PCOS but he still didn't he blood work that my other doctors didnt!
He is not happy with my pain management doctor who has been giving me injections in my back. He said I was way too young and and that they were not going to work. He was also upset that the orthopedist has just been throwing medications at me that have horrible side effects that could have killed me.
He said as far as the fibromyalgia goes he said that it's a horrible disease that can only be controlled and never cured and that I have to learn what works for me and it will take a while.
He did do x-rays on my hands feet and hips to make sure I haven't hurt anything as well just to cover all the bases..
The major reason I came was to also be seen by the MS specialist but apparently she retired and they haven't replaced her so I have to use the neurologist at home which was disappointing.
They are closed tomorrow for thanksgiving so I have to wait for my blood blest results first thing Friday morning. If he does this see anything then I can go home!
Another vote for keeping us posted. I'm sent to Florida occasionally for work, I'd never thought of going to the Mayo clinic!
