Everything is hurting.it feels like when I have the flu but just the aches and pains.. Just recently diagnosed Aleve or Motrin don't help is this common with fibromyalgia

Yes and quite often, over the counter meds do nothing for our pain. Tramadol, Neurontin, and Norco 10 are a few of the meds I take. I take an anti depressant because chronic pain can cause depression. I'm also Bipolar. This disease is horrific.

Unfortunately yes..and most times otc medications don't work for us. Talk with your doctor about your pain and your needs. They do change from time to time....like, one medication may work for a few months, a few yrs even, and it will stop working!! We are pain patients and that's the first issue at hand. Gentle hugs!!

lavender and chamomile oils work great for me when nothing else works. Keeping muscles warm helps too wear warm clothes.

Welcome to Fibro. Yes this is very normal. When I started going to the Dr. with symptoms in the early stages, before diagnosis I was telling him that I felt like I had a horrible virus. I was so weak and achey and it wasn't going away.
