@A MyFibroTeam Member....all everyone else...lol.
from http://www.mayoclinic.org/livedo-reticularis/ex...: Livedo reticularis is a vascular condition characterized by a mottled, purplish discoloration of the skin, usually on the legs. It may be aggravated by cold exposure. I have definitely had this in the past on my arms and sometimes my legs but it really only happens when I'm really cold...and it didn't usually cause any discomfort for me...
I struggle with this I have to lather down in baby lotion daily if not I will even fight it in my sleep especially the leg back area I also suffer with the cold purple patches seems showering in hot water is the only relief I have been able to find I am glad to learn there is a name so I can look up the best way to handle it thanks for the info
I do get itchy and in the spring I have big red spots come at the hair line down my back. It also happens in the fall. My Dr was dumbfounded. He ask if I had heard of the seven year itch and I said yes, but I have had it since 1982. Then I get an overall itchy feeling like something crawling on me and I will scratch until it is sore. My Dr. keeps vistarel prescribed for me so I will not scratch.

And here I thought I had something special. I itch all the time but it is worse in the winter. Right now I want to claw at the base of my spine and I have a really bad patch on my left leg just below my knee. Does anyone else just get patches?
