My depression gets really bad in the winter, where I don't want to leave the house AT ALL. It has started up this last week and I am dreading the long winter ahead. I have two active teenagers and have to be able to get out to their events. Help!! I'm on Cymbalta (for pain not depression actually) and can't tolerate a higher dosage at all. Has anyone tried those sun lamps that are special lights for SAD?
Take Vitamin D3. I also have SAD. I live in the south where sunshine is the norm, so I cannot stand short gloomy days. Since I have been on D3 (minimum of 10,000 IUs) it is much better.
No, don't take that, no problems with my vision thankfully. I've worn contacts since I was 13, no change
Do you take gabapentin? One of the side affects is blurry vision. I just started taking it a week ago and have noticed it. Some tune I even see double when I'm tire but it clears up after a few minutes
I have one. They are called happy lights here in Winnipeg. I found it at a Costco pharmacy. It cost about 40-50 dollars.
My Dr. Suggested I get the light, who sells them?
