Different names for the same pill. Adjustments to doses (changes in color or shape of the pill) and/or to medicine. Need to take some meds at different times or multiple times during the day. Having a hard time keeping up? You?
Yes I have a organizer and it helps but make sure you are having a good day when you put pills in there because I have to look and study to make sure I get the correct pills in there! LOL One week I was in more Pain and couldn't figure out WHY Well I sat and studied it on Saturday and figured out I forgot my Tramadol and Cymbalta! Not a good week! LOL So know I look and I wrote on paper what I need in THERE! Sad
I use a pill organizer too, I couldn't keep up if I didn't. I also keep a list of meds, the dosage and times per day I take it. I've also added the names of the doctors that prescribed them. I have this info on an index card with all OTC meds and vitamins I take on the back. I keep this in my purse so I have it available whenever I go to my doctors appointments, since they always ask for it.
I don't always use my organizer but I do use a program on my smart phone with alarms to remind me to take meds at specific times.
You have to get an organizer. And yes, this makes a young beautiful woman feel like her 90 year old grandma but with fibro we have the brain fog that makes things go wonky in our heads and entirely too many pills to take in a day for the cocktail that ends up working for us to function. I sit down and focus once a week on getting all of the right pills in the right places in my organizer and am a LOT less stressed about it now. It really does make a difference. Easy peasy is better than stressing about it.
YES!! I write down everything on a piece of paper and prefill my pill container for the week. Get a notebook and have one full page for each med. You can record manufacturers, color, size, shape. Even use colored pencils if it helps and draw what the med loos like. If your cel phone has an alarm you can set it to help remind you when to take meds.🐸
