Hi, I did dry needling twice a week for 5months, two years ago when my muscles were like rocks. My rheumatologist sent me to Vincent Paloti which is the only chronic physical therapy hospital in Cape Town. It was pretty intense and very sore, however it worked. The idea is to disperse the muscle spasm to go from hard rocks to pepples and then to sand, after that normal massaging will work. This also nakes the muscle bleed internally, which is what the muscles needs to heal. I cried many sessions during that time. So glad my muscles are not in that state anymore, I feel for you my friend. Flares will come and go during your session, but it is worth it. It helped me. Good luck and take care :)

Oh yes! I have done it! And wish they did it in my new state that I live in. First do you go to someone who is familiar with Fibro. It is esential that you do. They will know how fast or most importantly how slow you need to go. And yes, you will get flares at the begining. I did mine with a Physical Theripist. The flares slowly subised as my body released the tension. It did help alot. But I have to say, it really is a work between you and your therapist. I also meditated a bit during the sessions. Especially, when I was having a hard time relaxing into what she wanted me to do.

It is so worth it. I envy you being able to get it.
