I think I lost some motricity.

Objects are often slipping of my hands. My boyfriend is making fun of me, because I often drop my phone in my face when I lay down in bed.

When i want to put back a cap on a pen, i'm having some difficulties. I end up with ink on my fingers.

And you? How is your motricity?

Members connected over the frustrating experience of losing grip strength and fine motor control, with many describing repeatedly dropping phones, pens, ice cubes, and other everyday objects, often requiring family members to pick things up or help open containers. Several members shared practical adaptations that have helped, including using thicker-handled utensils and pens, wrapping foam or sponge around handles to make them easier to grip, and seeking physical therapy for overlapping conditions like carpal tunnel or cervical spine issues. A recurring theme was the emotional relief of knowing others share this struggle, balanced with the frustration of feeling clumsy, needing to ask for help, and watching skills like texting or art become unexpectedly difficult on bad days.

I have the most trouble holding on to very slim objects ,so try to get things with thicker handles also thicker pens and pencils are easier to hold and not drop. You can buy special knives folks and spoons with thick handles for disabled but you could also try and adapt things yourself by using sponge or foam wrapped around handles to make them thicker this is a good alternative as the special disability items are very expensive. Sponge and foam is great to use as its light too. Don't know if it's my arthritis or fibromyalgia that causes me this problem.
