How Many People Have Kept A Full Time Job?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I work a full time job and have been here for almost a 1.5 years. Things are getting increasingly difficult for me and I don't know if I will be able to continue working. How many of you still work full time? And how do you manage? How many people have had to quit?
Also, can fibro patients file for disability?

I quit full time last year and still need same income. I work 6-7 small part time jobs. Allows time to recoup and I make same money. I do some elder assistance. Temp jobs in my dental field. A little bookkeeping and occasional lawn and weeding job. I'm much happier and feel more relaxed and rested.

I've had to reduce my hours to 16 hours a week. I've been off work since April. I've gone back to work ..phased return ans I'm struggling with that but I'm relieved that my employer has agreed this and it's taken a weight off my shoulders. I couldn't possibly work full time now...but I'm not ruling it out for the future. I hope to be able to work full time again. I love my job and my colleagues. I will be doing 4 hours a day over 4 days. I have Wednesdays off to recover.

I do work full time, I do my best not to get too exhausted, I work in a call center, so it is more mentally exhausting than physically, I have worked in the local trauma center since 1988....I have heard that Fibro patients can get disability, I do not know how difficult it is though. Take Care.

I live in Canada and am on disability for fibro and depression. The chances of ever working again is slim.
