When I'm exhausted, I can feel my heart beats. It's been like this like forever.

Just to make sure everything is ok, I had an electrocardiogram and a 24 hours holter. I will have a heart echography too.

Do you have palpitations too?

Members connected over the shared experience of heart palpitations with fibromyalgia, with many describing sensations of a pounding chest, irregular heartbeats, and shortness of breath that often worsened with fatigue or after eating. Several members found reassurance through cardiac testing like ECGs and Holter monitors that showed normal results, while practical strategies included reducing caffeine intake, checking thyroid function, and managing conditions like atrial fibrillation with medication when necessary. A recurring theme was the importance of getting symptoms checked to rule out serious issues while understanding that severe fatigue and stress can trigger these frightening but often benign episodes.

Yes I have them too. I notice it happens when I'm especially tired. I have had an ECG and everything was normal. Walking up the stairs is a killer when this happens. Feels like my heart will pound out of my chest and I feel short of breath. I attribute it to severe fatigue.

Yes!

My heart will flop like a fish. And sometimes I can feel it beat super hard like it's going to come out of my chest.
