Lip & Mouth Problems
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone had trouble with mouth ulcers, especially over the roof of your mouth. Also I suffer from really bad cracked lips & cold sores and I just want to know if anyone else suffers from any of these or knows of anything that can help. Oh and I suffer badly with dry mouth problems.

Thanks for any help love Donna xxx

Mouth sores can be a symptom of RA. Also, STOP using toothpaste with sodium laurel sulfate in it. Causes canker sores. I switched to Sesodyne ProNamel. one of the few commercial lines with no SLS. Most from health food stores have no SLS. My old dentist even recommended this to me. It bothers him too.

Maybe the next time you visit your doctor ask about being tested for sjogrens syndrom? I have that and the dry mouth/eyes are very unpleasant. Always thirsty as well.

In the last 2 yrs I had eye surgery and most my teeth rent. I go to the Dentist every 6 months. I got up one morning and noticed a couple teeth were loosen. We had an appointment the next morning for out routine cleaning. They wound up removing 4 teeth that day. The Dentist said fibro affects all soft tissue. And the same with my eyes. It's important to drink plenty of water to help flush so of the acid that's in your body. There's a connection with it and fibro.

Warm salt water, mouth sores and dry mouth could be signs of the disease and problems. Medications, lupus erythematosus, sjogren's syndrome. Go to the Dentist regular check up, dry can led to other problems, tooth decay, etc. Use coconut on your lips.
