I have muscle spasms, but I have arthritis. I have a bone spur on my nerve in my neck. Of course, the fibro attacks it, so every treatment known to mankind doesn't work., i.e., heat (hot flashes), massage (ouch don't touch me). Taking a muscle relaxer does work.
Speak to yr PM team or Dr, there are things that can help Hun xx Mine got so bad I am on a drug that is given to M.S sufferers x
There can be a variety of causes of muscle cramps. I was suffering from the same problems until I started some stretching and eating more foods with Magnesium and Potassium...like bananas and leafy greens. You might have your doctor check your vitamin D levels. I do not go out in the sun a lot. I have a Vitamin D deficiency so I have to take it daily. Other deficiencies is iron and vitamin B that can cause problems like this.
Yes. I recently went into my MD. Became so dizzy, like a drunken sailor. Also a wonderful Fibro gift. I have cramps. My MD tried me on Gabatentin. It changed my Fibro Fog into a Fibro White Out. Everyone is different so it may work on you. Good luck.
It could be many things. Low potassium level or not drinking enough water, which is a big issue for people who live at high altitudes like me. It is also a Fibro thing, but don't blow it off to Fibro. I do that a lot. At your next physical, make sure your doctor runs a blood panel to see if you are low in Vitamin D, Potassium or dehydration. Don't get in the habit of blowing everything off on Fibro. Gentle hugs. I am currently having foot, calves and hand cramps. I bought bananas and drinking lots of water. I still have them. My physical is in June. I checked on this site before I called my doctor and yes indeed, many of us have cramping muscles. Gentle hugs.
