Members opened up about experiencing fibro fog so severe they've forgotten their own addresses, phone numbers, and even how to get home from familiar places, with many sharing that they've learned to write down basic information, keep GPS devices handy, and rely on family members to fill in the blanks. Several members described moments of panic and embarrassment, from blanking at the pharmacy counter to dumping out a purse looking for a phone they were already talking on, but emphasized that humor and self-compassion have become essential coping tools. A recurring theme was the importance of patience, both from oneself and loved ones, along with practical strategies like list-making, speaking slowly, and simply accepting that fibro fog is part of living with the condition.

I forget words , names and I get lost. My family is so used to my forgetting words, they supply it for me. I try to think things through. People around us have to understand we have to move and think slower.

I once forgot where I was going while driving around the neighborhood. And to add insult to that, I momentarily forgot where I was. So don't feel bad. I'm also the Queen if List writing. Then I lose or forget the list. We just require a lil patience and plenty of reminding.

I did. I was making a doctors appointment and I couldn't think of my address for them to send the paperwork. I never did think of it I had to ask our school nurse. My son thought it was funny because every time I tried to think of it I had no idea, it was just blank. Then finally I figured it out. My husband told me about 4 times and then I remembered. I also forgot my phone number at the pharmacy when they asked me for it I just laughed and had no idea. They told me. I tried to remember it. I chalk it up to way too many medications and fibro fog. If I don't laugh I might cry and it's not worth that. Smile because we can still do that and it doesn't hurt. :)
